I was wondering about this since I sub-consciously project fairly often.
Is there a way to seize a hold of and take control of these sub-conscious projections?

Asagami- what did I say about letting something or someone consume you? Seriously, chill out with it. Don't obsess over it. Or try not to at least.
Kentucker - advice on trying to take control. One of the easiest things you can try is to self-hypnotize yourself to be lucid. For example before you go to sleep point to your third eye/forehead with your left index finger, and tell your spirit (out loud) "Be lucid when projecting", and do it a few times (the more the betteR) before trying to project or going to sleep. Also, go back to the dream journal thing. Everytime you remember even a TINY bit - write it down. Also, you can try to re-remember the dream just as it has happened before even getting up, and write down everything that comes to you. Though this doesn't consciously make you take control during a projection, it will allow you to be more lucid, and starts to program your subconscious with the idea that you WANT to remember what's happening. Also - throughout the day do little "tests" to make sure you're in the physical. And believe in them. For example, in Astral you can do things like stretch your finger if you pull it. So in physical life, every now and then, just discreetly pull your finger, question if it is real or not, question if you can pull the spiritual part of it. What will happen is then when you're having a dream, or in astral you will star to question things, and if you question it (or do a similar tests, such as trying to stretch your finger, or put your hand through a solid object), you will start to control it better. And you will question more, and become more lucid. Also, whenever you dream anything, try to change what's happening. Even if its a slight change, just try to change something. This will cause you to start to be more lucid still, and will start to project more willfully than a simple dream, and your dreams will often become projections. A final thing is to have a focus on what you want to project to, or hwo you want to project, and really focus on that. The more focused you are, the more lucid you will be. Though you can set your focus to be a "Receiver" so that whatever happens, or whoever calls you, you will go to - even then you focus on being a receiver. Without a focus on something it is hard to be very lucid, and hard to gain control.
That should be enough to get you started =)

I will try that. I used to do the tests....they never really helped me much....maybe I quit too soon.

Asagami - I never left.
Kentucker - try the ideas for awhile, if they don't work, then ok, they don't work. Honestly, the tests didn't really work too much for me either lol - but some people they have worked great. They are ideas =)
The idea of telling yourself to be lucid though - did work very well for me when I had trouble with it.
Just try things for awhile, and if they don't work try something else, just make sure you give it an honest shot. Also, just because it doesn't work once, doesn't mean it won't work later, don't be afraid to try things again because we are changing all the time - so sometimes a small change we have may lead to an idea working a second time around, and that will lead to an even greater change, and us reaching our goal =)
