UK is 18 but they want to make it 21 like USA because they have a big drinking problem among the youth.

I don't think age matters too much. I think the heavy restriction on alcohol is most of the reason people want to drink so much. It's very overhyped.
I think what people should do is be exposed to alcohol from an early age as a normal part of life and educated about it. Usually when people drink some beer or something when they're little, they realy hate it and don't want to drink ever agasin.
That's how I was. I'm russian, so alcohol was kind of a normal part of my life. People would drink at family gatherings and the like. I wasn't allowed to too much, butonce in a while they'd give me some wine or champagne or something. And I'm okay right now.
I mean, I drink only with my family and never at parties or anything of that nature.
I think that I'm doing well (dealing with alcohol). =]

I think that I'm doing well (dealing with alcohol). =] Thats what happened with our group of friends, when everyone turned 18 we all went out and got smashed. then after 1-2 years u we realized that drinking in moderation is alot better, u have to learn on ur own experiences really, like dmoney said, its pretty fun just to drive and then tell ur mates all the stupid stuff they did when they cant remember the next day
