What do you guys think of oujia boards? One night I triend monkeying around with the one I just found in the trunk of my car and it didnt work.

You need a very clear mind and some spirits who want to communicate from what I hear. It has never worked for me, I have talked to a lot of people who say it has worked for them.

You guys are not doing it right.

There are many astrals or ghost or other entities nearby, you cannot just generalize them.

First of all, you need two people to play this game. (But I can do it just by myself.)

Two people is because you want to be fair, instead of one person is moving the indicator. But if you can be very steady and non bias, then you can do it yourself.

Then ask who are the entities nearby (who is on the site near you)?

Some are able to give you accurate answer, most of them cannot. It depends on their status in the universe.

You can actually make conversation with the spirits nearby. And you can always ask if the entity really know the answer, some are honest, some may not.

I would ask someone who have higher status to communicate with me.

Then you are able to get right answers.

One time I asked one of my friends to play the board with me, the spirit I invited was so scared of me, it kept saying, "God, God, God!" The spirit knew who I am and refused to say any other words.

I forgot to mention, you always have to ask them to go back where they came from at the end of the game.

Or they might stay with you. Then your place will be haunted for no reason.

I tried it with two people and it still didn't work. We were like "is any ghost out there tonight? yes or no?" nothin' happened.

lol that you found a ouija board in the trunk of your car, if only i was so lucky !

i find that with anything of that nature, state of mind helps immensely, if im planning to do any form of meditation, including reading runes or tarot i generally try lay off the coffee, and i fine it helps to do it if im slightly tired too.

in a way its similar to preparing your body to ap.

it comes with interesting feelings, such as your mind hovering above your physical body, i like to think of it as sort of a spiritual aura, absorbing the information from the ether (when im reading runes)
whereas with a ouija board, it becomes the channel for a spirit to affect the planchett (i think its what its called:o) and move it to letters on the board.

i sure as hell would never do it alone either, screw that ! if anything were to happen (you hear rumors about posession all the time) you would need another person there to ground yourself, otherwise, bad stuff can happen

just always make sure to cast a circle / consecrate the ground on which you do it on, salt is good, holy water better, and offer a prayer of protection make sure to dismiss the protective energies afterwards aswell!

i hear rumors that placing a piece of silver in the middle of the ouija board (under the glass if you use one, on top of the little wooden thing if not) helps to deter bad spirits and encounters, as the spirit will be drawn into (and trapped) into sacred silver. ive not tried it, but im itching to !

my friends are too scared to touch a ouija board then again, when i did a rune reading for my friend, any time i said death she got angry with me ! (she doesnt understand a metaphor )

oh, and like sapphire said, always dismiss the entity before leaving, otherwise you might get yourself a tag along spirit at one point, i had several following me ! which led to some very sleepless nights !

try 'the lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram' if you want to try the wiccan way, i find that wiccan rituals are just perfect for things like this !

This is not possible, unless you and your friends are pressing the indicator too hard, then it is unable to move. If there is no ghost around, you should invite some goddess or angels to come here, keep trying till you get someone.

For sure it should move, tap on the indicator not pressing it. Command like this: "Any spirit around? Please go to 'yes' or 'no'."
If no response, repeat the question and say go to the 'yes' or 'no'.
Repeat a couple times.
