Greetings...recently, i moved back to Taiwan and have been studying Kungfu and Qigong with an instructor here. Any thoughts on Qigong and chi in general. The qigong makes me feel kind of high..........one guy i read about on the net who studied it for years claimed it's really summoning bad spirits or jinns or demons....surely this is rubbish......
but I have heard of cases in Chine where people develop phychosis from too much of it or wrongly practicing...........anyone know much about this?

qi gong is devided into three categories, Spiritual, Martial, and Medical. Qi Gong will build lots of qi/prana/life force when done improperly/ or without proper supervision is is possible to get psychosis - these tend to be hardcore people.
Qi Gong is not about summoning bad spirits. Although it is possible, when you're really advance. Just like there's White Magick and Black Magick. This falls under the spiritual qi gong category. Most spiritual qi gong is about connecting to the source of all/god/etc and transcending the human body like Jesus and other Guru did,/spiritual enlightenment/etc...
people who claim qi gong is bad is ignorant, it show's their lack of knowledge on the subject...it's basic human psychology - fear of the unknown....
