This paper thoroughly explains the true existence of the branes (realms) we live in and visit, and how they are linked through the 5th Spacial Dimension. This is a landmark piece of work that everyone should read. It will be proven true in in the course of the next century. cosmo06.ucdavis.edu/talks/randall.ppt

Heeheheheeha!
When I 1st read the thread I thought you meant "brains".

Heeheheheeha! When I 1st read the thread I thought you meant "brains". This is what my thought was, but look clearly it is written "Branes." Good article!

This presentation describes a multi-verse that makes more sense. It explains:
1. Why gravity is so weak - it is actually manifested across the 5th dimension
2. Why "lighter" astral realms are not observable with modern instrumentation - they are separate 4th dimensional spaces further from the strong brane.
3. Where the missing mass is that we falsely attribute to "dark matter?" It is actually the matter in other branes.
Most importantly, it estimates the energy needed to cross the 5th dimensional boundary between branes is in the TEV range. This is accessible with today's technology. We already have particle accelerators that can create particles with TEV energies. We can not ever hope to reach energies high enough for the strong brane, but we might soon find TEV technologies that let us travel between the physical and astral branes.

The answer is: astral projection. ;D

I was looking through some old files and found this. It is a comparison of the physical and astral worlds we live in:
Characteristic Reality Brane Mind Brane Gravity Higher Lower Matter Density Higher Lower Energy/Light Higher Lower Memory Higher Lower Mind Power Lower Higher 4th Dimensional Movement Lower Higher
Outward movement in 5th dimension leads from reality brane to mind brane.
Subconscious mind projects consciousness through the 5th dimension into the 4th dimension in mind brane.
Silver thread anchors subconscious mind in reality brane.
Movement in space, time and dimensions is instantaneous in mind brane.
Entering Mind Brane Conditions Brain Wave Frequency Lower Consciousness Lower Serotonin, Histamine, and Norepinephrine Lower Youth Higher Rapid Eye Movement Higher Melatonin Higher
Mind Brane is accessed by slowing down brain waves (to lower frequency) and shifting from conscious to subconscious mind.
Melatonin produced in the brain’s pineal gland increases dream activity. Rapid Eye Movement accompanies dreaming.

Didn't read any of the posts herein, but actually the general consensus amongst us believers in higher dimensionality - meaning physicists - that there are 8 dimensions. In this 8th dimension there is some future as of yet undiscovered theory that people are calling "M Theory" that is supposed to unify everything - gravity, superstrings, electromagnetism, etc. - in physics.
Actually M Theory is the 'father' of superstrings. There are like 5 different superstring theories at the moment and the problem is unifying them so it makes sense for everything.
Then all the superstring theories can become an individualized M Theory.
Kind of a cool supposition. Kind of hard to 'find' this m theory. There are some 16 million superstring variations to sift through first though.
I'm not exact on the number...
EDIT: I'm sorry, I should have been more clear that M Theory deals with these branes of yours as well. Also, I'm not a physicist (Just a physics student... a dying breed here in America) so I'm sure there are discrepencies between my version of it and the actual thing. I just know the basic outline.
