The ammount of people searching for a killer astroid is enough to fill one shift at a McDonalds. Now, that's very sad.
I think that 90% of people still think that astroids/comets aren't a threat to us and never will hit Earth.

This whole agurement is not that easy, its rather fluffy and there are much holes. Such the fact that not everyone is sure if a astrodriod killed the diasores, but rather a chain reaction. Also its not like we have other problems, such as global warming going on rise (which I think is a bit more importent). Also the need for reuseable energy. Also have any of you heard the saying? Also And seeing that more countries are sort of hateing us (U.S).. (for good reasons I'm sure). We sort of good to have some protection or some other countires might just like to attack us. Defeating a empire that has a record stronger then the Roman empire does sound rather good in the histroy books don't it? Its good rep to the rest of the world. If we don't keep up our arms, someone else would attack to get on top. But on to this subject, I am sadden that therenot considering these plans. It is indeed a complete shame that we could have avoided danger. But the chances of a astrodiod hitting us is very slim. Infact a black hole flying into our solar system or a gamma ray buster hitting our solar system are near the same odds of that one would hit us (so I heard). Indeed we could avoid some worries by doing this project, but from the numbers are telling us and our current stats in this country (and some bad leaders). We just sort of have accpet there dicision for now. Lets just hope humanity don't get bad luck and the odds just so happen to get hit shortly. |
