I don't believe that we are in a recession yet, but we are dangerously close to one. No, we are not starving here where I am. We are doing okay. I am sure there are lots of families that have been hit hard by our failing economy here though.

Is everything all right though. i mean u guys are all not starving or nothigh right hope u are all ok ;D Darth is right, it is not affecting us, not just yet. But in the long run, it will. Because it is a domino's effect, chain reactions. One industry goes down, others might follow. Like the Bear Stearn crisis now, if not the aid from the Fed Reserve, then Bear Stearn will go down first, then the rest will follow and our financial system in the U.S might go down with it because the ripple effect. Then the U.S is really in deep trouble, because Bear Stearn owns lots of Hedge funds which means lots of IRS savings are in there and the retirement money are in there. Which means the US will have no retirement money saving in the future. Which is a very serious matter, like the social security will run out in 2041, if the government does not do anything right now. Then eventually will affect all of us in the future.

The U.S recession is affecting everybody. I've experienced a freeze on our annual payraise, house foreclosure, lowered credit limit despite good credit (can't believe my credit card limit was lowered from $5K to $2 without notice) and many of my friends and relatives lost their jobs such as those who work in insurance, retail or financial companies. So sad.

LoL...

Hopefully, I'll try to hang on with this job of mine until I can find something better.

Maybe you have friends or relatives who could back you up in case of emergency. One time for a few months, we accommodated our relatives from out of town who were moving here until they were able to found jobs to get their own place.

Yes, everything worked out perfectly afterwards for my relatives. Fortunately, this happened years before the recession hit us so it was no problem.
